Private Charters

Treat your guests to the most creative destination for any group outing or party – the deck of a tall ship! Come aboard and let us pamper your group during a marvelous sail, or enjoy our beautiful riverside location in Bay City during a dockside reception.

What kind of large gathering are you planning? Looking for something a little different? If you have the idea, let us help you complete your plans by hosting your event on one of the Appledore schooners. We can accomodate up to 48 on the Appledore IV and up to 29 on the Appledore V.

Charters are typically three or four hours in duration, in addition to time for boarding and disembarking.

Captains, Crew & Ships:

Our schooners are certified passenger vessels subject to annual inspections by the US Coast Guard. The Appledore Captains are also certified by the Coast Guard, and our crew are experienced sailors. During your charter they will work closely with you to create the perfect outing; one that will be truly memorable and fun. Do you want to help sail the ship? Just let us know and we will have you hauling on halyards and taking a trick on the wheel!
