Teachers under Sail

Are you a Michigan classroom teacher? BaySail invites you to come for a sail aboard the Schooner Appledore IV and learn about Science Under Sail, our 3½ hour hands-on, curriculum linked environmental education program. On board we will demonstrate program components including weather observation, bird and waterfowl identification, navigation, water sampling and testing, plankton sampling, and benthic studies. We will also get you involved in raising sails and steering the ship!
When: June 6th, 2010—2:30pm-6:00pm
Where: Departing from Wenonah Park, Bay City
Cost: Free for teachers.
Light refreshments provided.
Sign up early—the sail is limited to 20 teachers!
