safe and comfortable one. The crew will then bring everyone aboard and the
ship will get underway. |

| During the river transit, participants will be divided into three groups
to rotate through three stations: the Ship Tour, Lost at Sea, and Knots.
During the Ship Tour participants will be explore the ship with one of the
crew who will point out all the fascinating features of a sailing ship.
The Lost at Sea station is a fun group exercise that will test the participant’s
resourcefulness and problem solving skills. In the Knots station, participants
will learn a variety of knots and their uses, and practice the line handling
skills they will need for sailing the ship. |

be put aside here for the group to eat. |

instruments. At the Dutchman station, participants will learn how to use
a Dutchman – a traditional tool for determining the ship’s speed. |
