September Sailing Opportunities

There’s still time to climb aboard the Appledore IV for a fun, family-friendly sailing adventure before the season ends! All through the month of September, BaySail offers weekend sailing opportunities including BBQ Dinner Sails, Legends of the Saginaw Sails, Dinner Sails, and even a special Stargazing sail.

BBQ Dinner Sails take place on Friday evenings in September. These sails are three-hours long and include a BBQ dinner from local favorite, That Guy’s BBQ. The BBQ menu includes pulled pork and chicken sliders, coleslaw, potato salad, and dessert. Soda/water is also included. Tickets are $45 for adults, $35 for under 18.

Legends of the Saginaw Sails are scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays throughout September. These three-hour long sails include a light lunch from Intermission Deli (sub sandwich, chips, cookie, and soda/water). Tickets are $37 for adults, $27 for under 18.

Only three Dinner Sails remain for the 2017 season! Scheduled on Saturday evenings in September, these four-hour sails include a catered dinner from That Guy’s BBQ and live entertainment. The Dinner menu includes a garden salad + roll, beef brisket, turkey breast, beef-braised green beans, mashed potatoes, and dessert. Soda/water is also included. Tickets are $70 each. Although there is not an under 18 price for the Dinner Sails they are still family-friendly.

Interested in Stargazing on the Saginaw Bay? Join local astronomers aboard the Appledore for the last Stargazer Dinner Sail of the season happening on Saturday, September 16th from 8p-Midnight. This four-hour sail includes a catered dinner from That Guy’s BBQ (see Dinner Sail menu above). Tickets are $80 each. Although there is not an under 18 price for the Stargazer Dinner Sails they are still family-friendly.

Do you have a special event or celebration you’d like to host aboard Appledore? Contact Scott Ellis by email or at (989) 895-5193 for information about private charter opportunities this fall.

Remember, all ticket sales are final and not refundable. The Appledore sails rain or shine unless the captain determines it is unsafe to proceed. In the event of a canceled sail, BaySail will issue a rain check good for a future sail of equal value. It’s always cooler on the water, especially in the fall months, so layer up before you sail.
